The Power of Words

Getting spiritually dressed is an important part of every day. You can read more, here, on how I get spiritually dressed using my Malas. When we set intentions with our Mala, we wear them as a physical reminder of our intentions. The feel and sight of the Malas remind us to stay present and aware of our intentions. A gentle reminder to pause, breathe, and realign. With that in mind, I want to share more insight on the power of intention setting and the words we think and say every day.

It is easy to get caught up in the hustle of daily life. Trust me, I know. Between my business, my family, and the work I do, it is almost imperative that I try to get ahead of life’s momentum before it runs me over. One way I do this is through the mantras I repeat over and over during my meditations. What we say and think about throughout the day has a way of manifesting in our day-to-day lives, so it is important to keep our affirmations positive and line it up. When we take just five minutes to breathe, say an intention for the day, and then surrender, we are affirming that we will allow our day to unfold exactly as it is meant to be.

Line It Up

I always say take time out of your day to “Line It Up.” This is my version of setting a clear intention for your day and asking your Guides and Angels to be connected with the higher power that is Source.  When we take time out of our day to “Line It Up,” we are taking the time to be present in the here and now. We are choosing to be a part of the higher consciousness that is I AM energy. This is where the power of your words is held.

One of my favorite mantras that came to me is, “I am connected, protected, guided, and directed.” Each day I say this and affirm that I am connected and protected from beyond. I am affirming that my Guides will help me throughout my day. I have found that my days flow much easily when I acknowledge right off the bat that I may need extra help from my beyond and then unapologetically ask for it. Our Deceased Loved Ones and Guides are always available to help shed light on our daily lives. This is why I make it a point to ask them each day, either through spoken word or heartfelt intention, for their guidance and direction forward.

I am healthy and well. I am good enough right now, just as I am.

Your Words Are Powerful

Keep in mind, that your words and intentions are powerful. What we think about most is what we will manifest. So think healthy, positive thoughts and then repeat them as daily affirmations. You can easily replace your negative commentary with the affirmative. Try something like this mantra: “I am healthy and well. I am good enough right now, just as I am.” I always keep my intentions and mantras in the present and usually start them all with “I AM.” When we want to manifest our desires in our life, we need to affirm that we are already there and tune into that “I AM THAT I AM” loving energy.

When we come from a place of love, our intentions will come from our heart. What I have learned is that when our intentions are heartfelt and do not come from fear or the mind, our Guides are more than willing to assist us through the day. When you choose positive and affirming intentions, you will begin to notice that everything around you flows as it is intended to. I call this living a flow-tastic life! When we focus on the what and they why of our intention, and then surrender, we will see that everything will come together.

I have a body. I am a soul. And I am grateful for this life.

Our day-to-day life can be unpredictable and messy. You can read how all about how messy my life can be in my new book, What the Dead Have Taught Me About Living Well. The trick is to not let ourselves get overwhelmed by the tasks at hand and instead allow ourselves to become part of the flow. All we have to do is use the power of our words and intentions to change our minds about the day. The moment you start to panic, take a step back and ask for a shift in perspective. While none of us can control the events and circumstances that happen during the day, we can change how we think and see about them. It is all in the power of our intentions and words.

Some of my favorite Mantras from my new book include:

  • I have a body. I am a soul. And I am grateful for this life.
  • I can depend on myself.
  • I am worthy of having my needs met and provided for at every moment.
  • I prosper when my thoughts are rich with positive expectation.
  • Dear Guides, help me see through your eyes, speak your words, and know as you know that divine perfection exists in all and that all is right and well.
