Messages From the Other Side
My new book, What the Dead Have Taught Me About Living Well, is all about how I receive signs, interpret, and apply their guidance to my everyday life. There are many avenues through which I receive spiritual guidance, but one in particular that never fails to grab my attention is the license plate. I’ll often offer up a prayer, asking for a sign from my guides that I’m on the right track, or to help me resolve a challenge, or to help me figure out what is in my best interest—or the best interest of clients or loved ones—on a particular day. I then surrender, knowing that when the time is right, their signs will appear.
Here’s what tends to happen later in the day, or even a few days later: I’ll be driving in my car, on my way to work, to run an errand, or meet a friend, just minding my own business, when suddenly a car cuts in front of me, I feel inclined to take a different route, a construction project forces me into a different lane, etc. Suddenly I find myself forced behind a car that has, you guessed it, a license plate message for me! Just as I’m about to be annoyed at the bad driver or route change, I realize I’ve been divinely placed in this position in the flow of traffic in order to receive the message I need—from another driver’s license plate!
I’m so trusting of these messages, that I put out a call on social media a few months ago, asking others to send in their examples of what I’m calling “Spirit Plates”. I’m compiling these images into a collage, to share as a collective vision board for 2017. I’ve had some time to go through the images and stories people have shared with me, and I’m so blown away by them that I wanted to share a few with you now. Enjoy!

The 127 is very significant to me because they are the house numbers of the home I grew up in my entire life until I got married and use them all the time for my cell phone password.”
