Pricing and Procedure

The fee for a 30-minute private reading is currently $275. I will spend approximately 25 minutes channeling your loved ones and you will have an opportunity to ask a question or two at the end.

The fee for a 60-minute private reading is currently $500. I will spend approximately 30 to 45 minutes channeling your loved ones and you will have an opportunity to ask several questions at the end.

The fee for a 30-minute priority reading (formerly known as a charity reading) is currently $500 and the fee for a 60-minute priority reading is $1000.

My readings are most effective on an individual basis, however, I will allow others to participate at a rate of $100 for each additional person.

Acceptable forms of payment include cash, money orders and credit card payments. Personal checks are not accepted. Please confirm you will be keeping your appointment and/or make arrangements for payment at least 72 hours prior to your reading or it may be cancelled and offered to someone else.

If you choose to come to the office for your reading, you will leave with a CD recording of the session. If your reading is by phone, a digital recording of your reading will be made and a link will be emailed to you (or someone you know) that will enable you to download the audio file onto your computer.  From there, you can listen to it on your computer, burn a CD of your own and/or load it onto your iPod. We provide this service for your convenience, though it is not guaranteed. As with any mechanical device, recorders can fail to work properly from time to time and you may want to make arrangements to record your reading or take notes as a backup. If you would like for us to mail you a recording of your reading on a CD, we will do so for a fee of $25

My husband, Brian, will call and/or email to confirm your appointment a week or two prior to your scheduled date. Please inform us of any change in your phone number(s) and/or email address(es). If we are unable to reach you or if we do not hear back from you, we may cancel your appointment. If you need to cancel your appointment for any reason, please notify us at least 72 hours prior to your scheduled appointment time. Again, please confirm you will be keeping your appointment and/or make arrangements for payment at least 72 hours prior to your reading or it may be cancelled and offered to someone else. If you fail to notify us that you are unable to keep your scheduled appointment and we are unable to fill it, you will be financially responsible for that appointment. If you plan to schedule a subsequent reading, you will need to make arrangements for payment of the original appointment and for the new appointment before you are given an actual appointment date/time.

Expected Wait

The wait for a private reading is now close to three years.  The submission of an appointment request will hold your place in line for when scheduling resumes. You will be contacted by email or by phone to set up an appointment. Thank you in advance for your patience and understanding.

Again, private readings are currently being scheduled for 30 minutes at a rate of $275 or 60 minutes at a rate of $500. Submitting a request today does not guarantee this pricing as it is subject to change at any time.

If you submitted an appointment request prior to September of 2008, an email was sent to you (about a year after submission) letting you know how to proceed with scheduling an appointment. For example, if you submitted a request on April 29, 2008, you would have received an email (or a phone call) early in April of 2009.

If you submitted an appointment request during or after the month of September 2008, you will receive at least two emails when your name comes up for an appointment (we will call you if you did not provide an email address). The first email will let you know that you will have the opportunity to schedule an appointment soon (will include the specific date of the forthcoming second email) and the second email will provide you with specific instructions with regard to actually scheduling your appointment.

Don't want to wait? Priority readings (formerly known as charity readings) are available to those not wanting to experience the typical wait time for an appointment. Priority readings are currently being scheduled for 30 minutes at a rate of $500 or 60 minutes at a rate of $1000.  Purchasing a priority reading simply moves your name to the top of the cancellation list (the wait typically varies anywhere from two to three months) and a portion of the proceeds are donated. Please click here to request a priority reading and we will contact you as soon as possible with an opening.

Again, the current wait for a private reading is now close to three years. The amount of time Rebecca will be able to spend conducting private readings has changed to allow for a national (and subsequent international) book tour.  Thank you and we'll be in touch!

Frequently Asked Questions

What can I expect from a private reading?

Though I have a strong psychic ability that presents itself during each reading, please keep in mind that the emphasis of my work is making connections with and delivering messages from loved ones who have passed on.

The first thing any medium will tell you is not to have any expectations when going for a reading. That is, do not decide who it is you are going to hear from and what information they will bring through. The spirits are in control when it comes to the communication process. The strongest energies with the greatest need to make a connection come through.  Sometimes it's not who you expect to hear from.  It takes a tremendous amount of energy for spirit to come through, therefore an attitude of gratitude for any connection is best.
You can help increase your chances of hearing from desired loved ones by praying and talking to them prior to your session. The spirit world responds to your thoughts and feelings, and by sending out thoughts of love and inviting them into your experience, you are inspiring them to come through.

I ask the spirits to make reference to many memories or significant details about themselves or you. Though sometimes the information they bring up is factual, you may wonder why it is they chose to bring up seemingly insignificant things. The reason is to validate their identity and to prove they are still with you, though in a different dimension.  I feel it is very important that you walk away from your experience with a deep knowing that it was indeed the spirit of your loved one, and not just generalized information that could apply to anyone.

Before we begin the reading, I will briefly explain the process. I will say a silent prayer for protection, requesting that only the highest and best information that is right for you at that time come through, and then start the recorder. I will ask you to say your full name to draw in the energies that surround you. This is when I start to acknowledge the spirits in the room, either by initials, names, relationship to you or significant details that best reflect them. Usually several spirits come in the beginning to say hello, but only the closest energy to you carries on the dialogue. I continue to deliver the messages until they decide to pull back their energy. It takes a tremendous amount of the spirit's energy to come through and they can only sustain it for so long. The stronger the energy of your loved one is, the longer, louder and clearer the connection.

Whether their intention is to make amends and find closure with you or other living family members and friends, to acknowledge what's going on in your life now and offer guidance on your path, or simply to let you know they are still "alive" and watching over you and your loved ones, know that by coming through they are expressing their love for you.

Is it best to do a reading individually or can I expect the same result with another person(s)?

The answer to this question comes down to your intention for the reading.  I feel it is generally more effective to do the reading alone if you are in need of individualized information, whether it be about your life or with regards to hearing from a particular deceased loved one.  Any time you involve more than one energy/person in the room, the number of spirits wishing to come through increases.  The spirits will bounce back and forth with their messages, thus often times creating a more scattered reading.
But, if you and the other person(s) have the same intention as to the specific deceased loved one(s) you wish to connect with in the reading, with little expectation for individualized messages and guidance, then the added person(s) only helps to draw the spirit's energy in stronger.

The decision to do the reading individually or with other family or friends is left entirely up to you.

Do people ever do subsequent readings and if so, how often should I do one?

The decision to do a future reading is a personal one, and only you will know if further spirit connection and guidance is needed.  I believe it is my job to be the conduit for spirit when there is a need for clarity or closure, but I also know that we are all capable of accessing our own intuition and spirit when we choose to quiet our minds and go within.  I feel it is important to empower people to look within, rather than constantly going outside of their selves for truth.  Therefore, I typically offer readings for any one person no more than twice a year.  I recommend waiting a year or more between readings, to allow a variety of new information to come through and ensure a strong connection with spirit.

How does the mediumship process work?

Everything is made up of energy, which never dies, but simply changes form.  All of us, both in human and spirit form, are energy just spinning and vibrating at different speeds.  Spirit energy vibrates higher and faster than our energy while in a dense body.  For communication to take place, mediums must raise their vibrational frequency and the spirit must slow their energy down.  As this happens, we meet somewhere in the middle and hopefully receive the intended messages.

Because spirits no longer have bodies, thus no physical voices or body gestures, they communicate through telepathy, impressing thoughts and feelings into the mind and body of the medium.  This requires the medium to clear his/her mind of all excess mind chatter, while remaining open to receive any and all energy impression.  The next and most critical step is to accurately interpret the information coming through.  One could compare the process to playing the game of Charades. Spirit uses the medium's frame of reference, whether it be clairvoyantly "seeing" memories resurface, clairaudiently "hearing" a name, clairsentiently "feeling" certain emotions arise, or claircognizantly just "knowing" information out of the blue, in order to get their messages across.  The greatest challenge of the medium is to learn his or her own language with spirit, trusting completely the information that comes through, quieting the analytical mind and interpreting the information as best he or she can in order to bring forth a meaningful and understandable message.

Are phone readings just as effective as in person readings?

Because Spirit is not limited to the same time and space restrictions that we are while in a physical body, it makes it possible for one to do spiritual work long distance.  The spirit energy can be with both you and I during a phone reading, much like an in person experience.

The same information that would potentially come through a face-to-face reading, is identical to that of a long distance one. The quality of the reading is in no way compromised when done over the phone, for if it were, I would not continue offering phone sessions.
It all comes down to personal preference, as some people enjoy sitting in the comfort of their personal space, while others need to get away from all outside distractions and be fully present in my space.

How do I best prepare for a reading?

No one can fully prepare for an experience like mediumship.  Each experience is unique unto itself, and cannot be compared to another. A large part of this is due to the spirits that come through, because they are ultimately what make up the consistency of a reading.  Consider it like going to weddings.  Every wedding has a different energy to it, depending on many factors.  The biggest facts are who the bride and groom are, your relationship to them, and their family and friends.  Other things that make up a wedding experience are location, number of guests, dress, type of music or entertainment, food selection, and so on. But regardless of these factors, each wedding is a beautiful experience and unique in its own way.

It is normal and expected for people to be nervous and anxious prior to their reading.  But as I know from experience, there is absolutely no need to be worried or nervous.  If you can fully surrender all expectations and embrace the experience with an open heart and mind, you will walk away from it feeling calmed and enlightened.  Though there is nothing you need to do prior to a mediumship session, the following is a list I feel that can help for those who want to walk into the experience feeling prepared and at ease.

1) Visit the medium's website (if available) for more information and background on the medium.

2) Make a list of people who you know have crossed over, both family and friends.

3) Make a list of living family and friends.

4) Make a list of important dates; birthdays, anniversaries, death dates, etc. of those close to you, both living and deceased.

5) Make a list of things that you need clarity on in your life: career, health, romance, marriage, children, family matters, etc.

6) Keep in mind that the spirits that choose to come through have their own agenda.  Whatever they feel is highest and best for you to hear at that time will come through. Thus, spirit may not cover issues in your life that you feel are important and need addressing.  If time allows, at the end of the session, you may ask these questions.

During the days prior to a session, through prayer and meditation, talk to whom ever you desire to come through.  Ask that they show up for your reading and to please send loud and clear messages through the medium.

Surrender all expectations!

1) Be open to whatever spirits show up, as we cannot pick and choose who we wish to hear from; we can only set the intention.

2) You are given the information and guidance you need to hear, not necessarily what you want to hear.

Even though you may go through the previous steps, it does not guarantee everything will be answered and you will walk away with clarity in all aspects of your life.  The process can be overwhelming and it may take some time to process the information.  Also, it may take some earth time for the information to unfold and play out.

Honor the messages that come through for other living loved ones, and act as the messenger for the if guided to do so.

Keep in mind that time is an illusion and does not exist in the world of spirit. Therefore, it is not always easy or possible for the medium to give exact dates or determine if the information coming through pertains to past, present, or future events.

Not everything is literal or to be taken verbatim.

The medium can misinterpret the information coming through. Like the game of Chrades, it is up to the medium to decide what spirit is trying to convey, through the use of symbols, sounds, feelings, and thoughts in connection to the Medium's frame of reference.

Remember that we are co-creators with God, and our future is dependent upon a combination of God's will and human free will.  Therefore, when psychic information comes through, it is given to you so you can either prepare for the event, validate that you are exactly on the right track, or to change the outcome through making different choices if it does not suit your liking.  Trust that the messages spirit brings forth are for assistance and help to keep us on the path that is highest and best for us in order to evolve in this lifetime.
